Some of the best adventures can be had when you’re by the coast. The vegetation is especially luscious and often has a bright green colouration.

If you’re in a hot country then you will also be privy to the warmer waters that wash ashore so smoothly that the sand hardly moves. Many times, if you are close by to a busy coastal location you will see larger animals that are using the land for navigation purposes.

You’re always going to be among some brilliant wildlife also on land which makes Australia the perfect combination of everything. You have the sun, sand, waves and exotic forests to explore. One of the best things about Fraser Island is that it has a very large coast. The beaches stretch on for miles and miles, yet the quality of the sand or waters doesn’t change. The light blue see-through water is lukewarm, while also being filled with small harmless fishes. If there’s one place you need to visit while on this side of Australia it’s Hervey Bay.

Akin to Jurassic Park

The best feature about Hervey Bay is the vegetation truly looks like something out of Jurassic Park. it’s incredibly lush and bright green. There are various streams that run through the bay and small lakes that form a few miles in. If you happen to want to explore this part of the bay, then consider checking out the 1-day tour on Fraser Explorer tours. Here you’ll find a pleasant itinerary which sets out what you will be doing in a packed day or adventure. Don’t forget that the bay has a 75-mile long beach which you can relax on after the day is done. Expect to be fed some of the best barbecues you’ll ever consume.

Interact with wildlife history

On many parts of the Australian coastline, you’ll have Museums that shows the various animals that live around the country. The Fraser Coast Discovery Sphere is no different except here you can actually interact with the museum pieces.

The massive humpback whale that effortlessly glides through the waters is immortalized here in a large statue that literally comes out of the ground. The brilliant design is done using modern art and engineering techniques and is a perfect photo opportunity.

Cosy and casual

Since you’re along the coast anyway, how about some al fresco dining? The Black Dog Cafe is just what you would expect from a nice casual eating establishment. Brilliant hot breakfasts with sausages, eggs, tomatoes and toast, as well as burgers and fries for lunch or dinner. For dinner, you should probably try one of their seafood dishes as they can cook you up some fresh prawns or shrimp along with a cold glass or beer. You can make a reservation or order your food to go if you’re too busy to sit down at one of the tables.

Being by the bay you have so many options for activities. The water sport is also something to try out but exploring the Jurassic style vegetation is going to be high up on your list.
