Los Angeles, U.S.
L.A. is not just an incredible city, it is the kind of city with a reputation for many different things. Hollywood, Venice, and downtown L.A. are the three different areas you need to find time to explore. Each of them shows you a very unique side to this fascinating city. When exploring Hollywood, you should visit the Chinese Theater. Get an understanding of what goes into some of your favourite films. Peering behind the veil in Hollywood is such an intriguing experience, even if you’re a little surprised that it’s not entirely glitzy and glamorous. Head up the Hollywood Hills if you want a truly beautiful experience. The view from the Griffith Observatory is breathtaking.
Make sure you head to Venice too. This area has plenty of wonderful restaurants and boutique shops, but the beach is definitely the most popular area. You’ll find skaters with insane skills and intriguing little market stalls along the boardwalk. There’s usually somebody making a sculpture out of sand, so that’s worth seeing if you get the chance. And when you’re done with Venice, head to downtown L.A. for some food. The Grand Central Market has some great little diners. The Olio Pizzeria serves some delicious wood-fired pizzas.
Brisbane, Australia.
Brisbane is another incredible city and is the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for an adventurous experience. You should start off by doing the Brisbane Story Bridge climb. It’s one of only three bridge climbs in the world, and seeing the entirety of the city from that height is a truly fantastic experience. Make sure you explore some of the places you can see from that height too. You might want to consider boat hire whilst you’re in the city. Admiring the splendour of this city on the water is another experience entirely. It’s serene yet lively all at once. If you go during the Riverfire Festival then you’ll get to experience the fireworks, live music, and festivities of the event whilst cruising steadily along in a cosy boat.
Florence, Italy.
If you’re going to travel all the way to Europe then you need to pick Italy as your first destination. This country is absolutely beautiful, and the city of Florence is the perfect summary of everything that makes this place so wonderful. You should start by visiting the stunning church of San Miniato al Monte. It’s a beautiful building, as is the Cimitero Della Porte Sante cemetery which adjoins it. Not only that but it’s perched atop a hill that gives you a spectacular view of Florence in its entirety. It’s well worth trekking up there. As for the rest of the city, simply wandering the streets will take you to wonderful authentic Italian restaurants and shops that you should take some time to explore.
