Fiji Wedding Party, here we come…

Liz and Brian and getting ready to go to a wedding in Fiji.

Of course, there are concerns. Just a few. What with those dancing men and crab-racing women? It’s all too much to think about…So Liz, thinks about her old pal, Mo. You know, Mo? The salt-of-the-earth mother-in-law. Mo, with no knickers…THAT Mo.

Join us as we plan a VERY special (and extra sociable) occasion!

Romantic Charleston, South Carolina. 7 (Smoochy) things to do

Romantic Charleston, South Carolina. 7 (Smoochy) things to do

Charleston, South Carolina, is gorgeous. It is one of the few cities we have visited as a couple, and  been blown away by how quaint, pretty and very romantic it is. Surprisingly, in a relatively small city, there are many things to do.

Years back, we first visited Charleston with our two teenagers. We were travelling the world as a family, and Charleston was high on the list of places.

We had heard that this little city in South Carolina was one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, and we weren’t disappointed.

Whoever wrote that stat was spot on.

I know. It sounds the same, but it’s not.

The tool I want to share is free for everyone. I’ll show you how to use it to get the best deals and the cheapest flights.

I’m all for tips and tricks to save money on travel.

I have wracked up lots of airport hacks in my thirty years of globetrotting, including flying from the US to New Zealand, and finally mastering how to sleep on a flight.

So sit tight and let me share my favourite tool for finding you cheap flights.

The Pros and Cons of Housesitting (Nope. It’s not all a bed of roses)

The Pros and Cons of Housesitting (Nope. It’s not all a bed of roses)

Why write a post on the pros and cons of housesitting?

Because I wanted to make it crystal clear that although housesitting is an incredible way to see the world for free (it is most certainly how WE afford to travel the world), it isn’t always a walk in the park.

Far from it.

Housesitting is more like one of those jogs you do when you realise your jeans no longer fit.

The jog that gets you all sweaty and puffy but feels amazing afterwards.
